Centre facilities

Everything you need for a comfortable and convenient visit to The Cloisters Shopping Centre.

Parking

There are several public car parks within a short walk of The Cloisters in Ely. All car parks operated by East Cambridgeshire District Council offer free Blue Badge parking (for disabled drivers/passengers) for an unlimited period, provided a valid Blue Badge is displayed and the vehicle is parked in a bay (not on double yellow lines). Car parks include both short-stay and long-stay options. Some car parks have early-morning restrictions (e.g., no return within 2 hours if parked between certain times). The nearest large car park is the NCP at Ely Station, which has 142 spaces, including several disabled bays. This is useful if others are full.

Toliets

There are public toilets in The Cloisters (Market Place, Ely, CB7 4ZH). All disabled toilets have RADAR locks. Radar keys are obtainable from: The Council Offices (Nutholt Lane, Ely), Soham Town Council Pavilion, and Littleport Parish Council Main Street Car Park. Ely Library is housed within The Cloisters (Unit 6, CB7 4ZH). Its facilities include accessible restrooms, wheelchair access, and baby changing facilities.

accessibility

The Cloisters Shopping Centre strives to be welcoming and accessible to everyone. Disabled toilets with RADAR locks are available in the centre; RADAR keys can be obtained from local council offices. Access includes wheelchair access in key public areas, and the Ely Library (in The Cloisters) has lifts, accessible restrooms and baby changing facilities.
