Foot

  1. With the village green behind you, follow The Street towards Breach Lane. Turn into the residential lanes (Curlew Avenue is signed off the estate roads). You’ll pass neat village houses before the lane opens out towards Curlew Avenue. Local buses list “Lower Halstow, The Green” and “Landrail Road” as stops
  2. Look for Saxon Shore Way waymarks around the church/creek if you fancy a short detour with views before heading in. If arriving by bus, stops labelled “Lower Halstow, The Green” or “Landrail Road” put you within a few minutes’ walk.

  1. From the A2 (London Rd) between Rainham and Sittingbourne, turn south on Breach Lane (signed Breach & Lower Halstow), then follow into the village; Curlew Avenue is off Breach Lane/The Street. This is the usual approach whether you come via M2 J5 → A249 → A2 (from Canterbury/Sheppey) or M2 J4/A278 → A2 (from Medway/London)
  2. Parking On-street (closest option) Curlew Avenue and the surrounding residential roads usually have on-street parking. Please park considerately, check local signs, and leave driveways clear. Nearest public car park Newington Station Car Park (Station Rd, ME9 7LQ) small official car park operated by Southeastern (16 spaces, incl. 2 Blue Badge). Blue Badge holders may park free in any bay at this station.
  3. EV charging A public charger is listed at Newington Village Hall (ME9 7JJ); check live status in your charging app before you travel.
